    Love the pics.. the first one is my favourite too but the scooter on fire is pretty dramatic!!

    even thought i have seen them before when u posted them,the week after the riot,
    they are still dramatic and really powerful images,

    ciaran, what was the mob’s reaction to you. You say you were in the the thick of it. Did you get any threats or the like….

    There were a few threats at the start before it all kicked off, but it was more individuals trying to look tough and hard in front of their friends. When the riot really broke out in full, the scum were generally too busy ripping up the streets, throwing anything and everything at the gardai and generally looting and rioting. Being completely honest, I was very naive about the whole situation and for the most part I was completely oblivious to the danger I was really in. I never considered that people could have vented their anger at me. It wasn’t until I saw Charlie Bird on TV later that night when things hit me how bad the situation could have gotten for me.

    Luckily enough, I came out completely unscaved, equipment safe and shots in the bag. What more could you want?
