Sensei Andy McInroy posted his shots last night after assuring me he was going to bed early. Typical trickery.
Here are my efforts. I’ve got duplicates of some of his shots, but I won’t show you them (in case they’re better than his). No.3 was taken with my XPAN.
LoGillParticipantGood to see you playing nicely with the other children again ;) All of these are gorgeous Pete. I love,.. no LOVE that first shot – particularly the way the light drifts off into shadow at the bottom.. So Clear.. SO sharp ..
Luverly.

jb7ParticipantXpan?
I wasn’t told about any Xpan…Though it looks like one of those Xpan digitals, to me-
Does this mean that you’ve taken delivery of a new tripod?
Good to see you back,
No 1 for me too-j

No 1 for me too-The old tripod is back in service – the part arrived.
XPAN via autostitch. Not a bad effect though, is it? I need to check the settings a bit and try to get a sharper image out of it.
Thanks both for the kind words. I like no.1 best too.
Not Pete the blokeParticipantPete
Some of Andy’s skills are obviously rubbing off on you…..or is it vice versa……? First one is tremendous, and must look great printed but maybe you havent got round to that yet?Ross
RobMemberNumber one’s an absolute stunner Pete. You must be well chuffed with it.
Incredibly sharp, wonderful colours and reflections. Really well composed
and captured image. Definitely worth a print or two, good and large…Rob.
Robert55MemberPeteTheBlokeMemberThanks everyone.
I should have posted it separately really, but what should I have done to improve no.2?
mgstParticipantThree great shots beautiful colours and reflections in the first one.

andy mcinroyParticipantAh yes, my underling has posted. See how I used my power of the mind to suggest that I was going to bed early !!
You have much to learn about the devious landscape photographer’s art.Lesson 2 (The art of pushing ones Sensei into the frothy water) will start this Thursday.
Now to the delights you have posted.
Number 1 – A cracker although a square crop might work better. Just a little dark in the bottom I feel (feel the force !!)
Number 2 – Glorious. You have obviously turned away from the dark side and used your lightsabre to whack the flare to the other side of the galaxy.
Number 3 – I see that you have cast aside my teachings to experiment in the evils of autostitch. I hope it is not too late to save you from your evil destiny.Andy
Noely FParticipantgriangrafParticipantStevenHannaMemberPeteTheBlokeMemberMick: Thanks.
Noely: you have such a nice turn of phrase – I’m going to try to match your bird pics now, then I’ll be really pleased.
MJ: Thanks
Steven: Thanks for that.
Andy: I’m not well-versed in this Star Trek terminology, but I’m delighted you like no.2. As for autostitch…. you might have to eat your words if I work out how to use it properly. I’ll be sure to keep you posted :)ajParticipantPete very nice serie , no 1 is my fav love those colours u captured grt aj
and happy shooting with andy tonight
