River Blackwater at Dawn (New image added)

I got up early to capture the sun shining on the Knockmealdown mountains in the background, thus it wasn’t to be. The sun made a couple of brief appearances but never shone on the mountains. I’m happy with what I got but I will be returning.

Its a nice vista, but a bit to much purple throughout the scene for me.
Yes, I see that now. Must have a look at the original raw file. I know the light was a bit strange but I don’t think it was that bad.

You could try cropping out those trees in the fore to the point where the river is entering the photo bottom-left.
Here’s another recent effort, the purple tint is definitely gone but I don’t know about the overall composition. :D :lol:

Another version of the Blackwater valley early in the morning, I’m fairly happy with this shot but I still think there’s more to be captured from this area.
Much nicer for sure Dave, mellow lighting. have you tried a B&W of this? with the snow peeks, it might be interesting also.
Very nice Dave. Thats the crop I think would work with the 1st shot too.
The first looks like a filter was used, the magenta is almost in a straight line,
Love the 2nd effort :lol:
The 3rd is really nice, looks like a lovely place.
