You do have to wonder if the Ref was given instructions to lean heavily towards Barca by his superiors. I know football fans are notoriously paranoid about their teams and refs..but I think this time there might be something in it. It might explain why the ref was so tolerant of Ballack’s outburst (a man not unfamiliar with cheating himself) and Drogba’s comic antics.
I’m thinking somewhere, a big wig in UEFA looked at the first leg and thought, bugger this..we don’t want Chelsea in the final boring the arses off everyone, lets make sure Barcelona win and we might see a half decent final. :wink:
I can’t say I disagree with their logic either. Man U v Barcelona is a much more attractive proposition for us non aligned supporters.
Anyway, anyone who thinks football is fair needs their head examined. It’s all about money and shirt sales now.
I don’t watch much football myself…but I’ll be watching this final.
