Not sure if this is the right place to post this… apologies if not.

This is an early attempt of mine at creating a stitched photo using PTGui. I have a single frame shot of the same scene (doesn’t quite capture everything in this shot), but like the stitched version as it changes the perspective on the tower on the right and makes the hill stand out also. I’m not totally happy with difference in the exposure of the sky from left to right and the slight halo around the tower, but am not experienced enough yet to know how best to avoid this sort of problem – I would appreciate any suggestions.

    Shot with a Canon 350D & 18-55mm lens.

    Cheers,
    Brad.

    Hi Brad.
I like the composition in this, but I think the harsh lighting ruins the shot. A re-visit if possible on a less sunny day would improve this. Perhaps early morning or late evening lighting would give a better result. I would also think about cloning out the little post in the grass.

I agree with ‘miki g’ Best time to take shot is late in the evening or early in the morning.
In the morning the sun would light up the front of the castle and in the vening the back. Also the sky at that time looks very colorful.
If you’ve seen the photo I’ve taken it was done in the evening. Also not perfect take but I’m palnning to get there sometime again. :)

Thanks for the suggestions, might have a go in the evening some time soon.

    Cheers
