I took this today.
Not a day to be photographing really, I can home wet through.

RobertoMemberSteveDParticipantLooks good Andy, I prefer the original shot to Roberto’s crop.
Have you ever heard of the Lee enhancer? I was thinking of getting one for shots just like this.
I’m heading up to the coast tomorrow night btw (if the weather is good). Give me a shout if you want to come.
Not Pete the blokeParticipantThorstenMemberI’m not sure it’s worth getting something like the Lee Enhancer if you’re shooting digitally as you can do the same job, only better, using Photoshop (it gives you much more control for starters). The results of such a filter can be a little overpowering, especially when used with Velvia and there’s no way to reduce the amount – it’s either there or it isn’t. It does have some value for film shooters when used in shots featuring foliage, especially autumn foliags but I wonder is it worth the expense. I’ve never used one myself, so I can’t say for sure.
andy mcinroyParticipantI personally have always tried to get my images to match as closely as possible as how I saw it. I do take great pride in this. So please, no enhancers and certainly no tobacco onions. If the lights is poor then I would normally prefer to return in better light than create something false with photoshop or with a filter.
The exception to this rule is my low light images on Velvia where the reciprocity failure of the film does create some interesting colour shift effects.

carlParticipantWell Andy, if its not “bendy bananas” its “bendy bridges”. But nobody is going to mention that to the sheriff that is strutting around with an 800mm in his holster are they? Well nobody but the deputy anyway.
carlParticipantAnd now for the serious bit….
Andy, I would add a tiny bit more contrast and chop a bit off the top of the photo to bring your attention more to the roots.
That said its a lovely shot. I took a very similar shot near Blessington (scary how similar they are), bridge was different though, not as bendy
