Rose and Daff

A couple of attempts from during the week the Rose was taken using a reversed 50mm as per NoelyF’s instructions.
The Daff was an experiment using remote flash (learned how it worked after a year :oops: )

One of you guys are gonna have to do a shot of what that set up looks like with the reversed 50mm…I’m curious now. Obviously not with yer D80 though..hehe!!
It does seem to do the job here though…although itgives a really shallow DOF .
Oh the flash is great used off camera like that….just keep playing with it..you can get some great results :-)
Robbie you are as well asking the master, I can and have just (PM’d) the details Noely give to me.
SodaGreat results from that lens, I too am curious as to the set-up.

I like both shots Carl, first could be a tad sharper but that’ll come in time :D Now get out an get shootin!
Noely thanks mate, its a lot more difficult than it looks wait until you see all the out of focus insects and outdoor flowers.

I like the first-
roses are lovely subjects I think-
though it might have been better to concentrate on the flower in this case,
and exclude the bud-
in my opinion-The second is less successful to me-
