    Hi Dave,

Went a bit mad on this one, didn’t we?

Compositionally I like it, though you could crop in from both sides to lose the first arch in each of the wings extending down the quad. There is nice symmetry in the paving leading up to the building, though overall I think the image needs to be a little sharper.
Regarding the processing, I wouldn’t be a big fan. The sky looks pretty dramatic and the stonework of the main building has come up a treat, but the colours are just a little too strong in the rest of it for me. Still, each to their own. Always good to see some experimentation.

Definitely one of your better shots Dave. I agree with most of Rob’s comments – especially about cropping the sides, but I like the colours.

I like it…..the sky looks great like there should be a
rainbow somewhere, the only thing I would say is the
paving in front is a bit on the dark side for my taste
but the overall shot is great. Lovely building.

I like this one too Dave. Maybe a touch over saturated..and I agree about cropping the left and right edges. But the overall look is nice and rich.

Btw… did you notice the window cleaner on the right hand side? :D (At least that what it looks like to me)

Thanks for your comments and advice. Yes I did notice the window cleaners but I didn’t have the hard neck to ask them to hide!

Maybe you should have went over to him and asked him to pose for a few shots…and watched him scarper…
