I guess you are still using the 50mm reversed, is it?
Then, how do you do not to frighten these little beasts? I am amazed.All 50mm reversed….and the flies are well used to me by now….some even call me by name :D
Amazing! I couldn’t get one decent shot with reversed 50mm, Is it just the 50mm or 50mm + two binoculars barrels + a microscope may be? :D
In fact, the most irritating thing I found with reversing the 50mm was that it was stuck on 1.8, and at that magnification, it was extremely hard to fit anything into the small/narrow/shallow dof. Do you have aperture control on lens? Any other tricks/tips?
Cheers, the Nikon 50mm has aperature control on the lens, I usually shoot at 5.6 because the flash cant be used.
I can only get this kind of magnification with a reversed 28mm lens. I don’t understand how you get this with a 50mm…are you cropping?
Excellent image!! well done.Think this is a 50% crop Jimmy, although I’m not quite sure about cropping ratios :wink:
