I got these at the Naas Vs Tullamore match last weekend. Anyone who was there knows it was dark as heck, and raining for most of the time. I did’nt get the clarity I was looking for, but got a few reasonable shots. They are straight from the camera – as in not cropped at all, but do need some harsh cropping ideally.
Have to say, images two and three do nothing for me at all, which is a pity
really because number two is one of those ‘almost’ shots. Perfect timing, but if only you’d shot this
one portrait to capture more of the lift. Number one on the other hand is a cracker.
The expression and determination you caught here is brilliant. All this needs is a
portrait crop to get rid of the surplus space either side of your group and a couple of
degrees clockwise rotation to bring it straight. Great capture.
Have to agree with Rob on this… first one’s great. Shame you’ve just cropped off the foot at the bottom. May have worked a little better if you’d shot it portrait with them running into some space at the bottom of the shot, IYSWIM.
Have to say No. 1 apart from his toe missing is a fantastic shot. Really well captured full of movement and expression. As the lads say pity about No.2 you nearly had it but I suppose everything is happening so quickly you don’t get time to think let alone rotate the camera. No.3 could be used as an advert for a washing powder always provided they managed to get the muck out of their kit after that game. Well done.
