This poor teddy is attached to a cross in the cemetery at the abbey in Howth.

That’s a painful shot, so full of emotion.

As I replied to your Tribes thread…When, who, where…why? These are rhetorical questions.

This works well but it’s so unfortunate about the subject.

Aww, very nice Paul. Agree with irishwonkafan, so much emotion and he does actually look sad. You’ve framed it so well and composition is great. You could straighten the verticals but i’m not sure it would change the level of impact the shot has.

A very sad subject. I think I like the subject being off vertical…. it’s more organic and not so sterile like some piece of architecture.

When you take the Teddy out of the normal context and use it in this sense it takes on a whole new meaning.
Its amazing the emotion that this image has captured, I really like this one

Sad indeed. I presume the shot is here for critique, so here goes: I think the green looks a bit high, but I love the sharpness of the near plants against the out of focus ones behind. I hesitate to say this, but I wish the bear was attached by some other means … a strangled bear crucifixion, it’s a bit … you know…

You can’t help feeling some type of emotion when you first see this shot.
Great capture of the DOF in this picture.

I agree its really full of emotion. like the tilted angel too. really a superb shot . but ive got this is idea in my head .that take from the bottom left of the shot facing up towards the bear. dont know why but i think it could really work for that . worth a try maybe.
    also exposure spot on
