Some shots taken on the Saltees last Friday,
Weater was perfect despite a rainy start.
Any thoughts on these?
Great place to go, wanna go back already. Not a bird but quite cute :)
markst33ParticipantExcellent collection of images Evan. All of them perfectly sharp and perfectly exposed. I particularly like the last 2.
eshortieParticipantmarkst33ParticipantAre you from the area or did you stay overnight somewhere or was it just a day trip and home. Is it safe to bring a 5 year old there ?
eshortieParticipantNo was just a day trip, I’m in Tipperary.
I’d say not, the edges are steep where the birds are and to get to the Ganets is a rough enough climb at one part.
You could bring a child but constant supervision I’d say.DeeboParticipantGreat set of shots, esp the Gannets.
Looks like a very productive day out
Deehotjohn01Participantmiki gParticipantGreat set Evan. I can’t pick a favourite they are all perfect. Is there a camera club in Tipperary town? I have only seen one other person with a camera here over the last year.
5faytheParticipantHi Evan,
This is a nice set of images to have in your
portfolio and a nice day in Wexford too.Well done.
John.
eshortieParticipantThanks for all the comments everyone…now just to find a decent telephoto that doesn’t require f9 for sharpness :D
miki g: Nope I’m based in Carrick-on-Suir a camera club was setup here round this time last year.
hotjohn01ParticipantJust can’t stop looking at these, the gannets are amazing and seal is just the iceing on the cake !! Did you capture him off the boat ??
I saw a seal off a boat, off Bangor bout two years ago, he was used to people throwing him the odd fish on the way into the harbour.
Anyway this photo is almost identical to that time. I remember saying to myself, “if only i had my camera” :DRedtopParticipanteshortieParticipantKodak moment for sure with the seals John, this guy shyed away from some tinned macrel :)
Thanks Redtop I’m real happy with these.
