Hi Donal,
I like that very much.
Nice colours.
You were up and about early. :)Cheers,
John.MarkKeymasterdonalglackinParticipantThanks guys, It was an early start alright John, 5:30am, totally worth it though, i was joined by a few early swimmers as well at about 6:15 dont know how they got in at that hour, it was freezing.
fguihenParticipantThat is an awesome photo. super job. I have some photos that people went “Wow! how did you take that”, and the answer is very often, that i got up at 5am when either the sun is perfect, there are no people around, or both!
donalglackinParticipantthanks fguihen, totally agree most of my favourite photos were all taken when everyone was in bed haha, i always say ill get up earlier more often but sometimes its hard.
dnmeParticipantOne of the most over photographed places in Ireland, Ive seen a 1000 shots of this diving platform, but here you nailed it. Its a great composition, very interesting angle and of course well done for getting up and getting the great light. Great zig zag leading lines in the concrete. Only critique is the brightness of the wall to the right, it draws the eye over there and distracts. I might have burned it a little in PP to darken it a little.
donalglackinParticipantThanks dnme, ive seen this place done about a million times myself, i only moved to galway in the last three weeks though so figured i would try get some of the more common locations before exploring the place myself, totally agree about the wall as well i was looking at it in when editing but decided not to burn, i think there was an extra bit of wall that was brighter that i cropped out in thr original. forgot to mention as well its a panoramic of three images.
