Sandisk to develop write-once flash

Sandisk have announced that they will be developing a write-once type of flash card that will be very cheap and have a life-span of over 100 years.
With 2gb Sandisk Extreme III CF now selling at ?35, this new write-once flash would need to be very cheap indeed!
It will be very interesting to see how all this pans out!

Hmm, imagine if a 5 1/4″ floppy had a life span of even 30 years, I wonder who would even have one of those drives now.

Probably not. Long before then we’ll have Google Photography? this will be probably voice activated and your photography trip on a Saturday will be replaced with a conversation with your computer? Ok computer give me a forest like washington in the fall, light like dawn in utah in the winter, a sky like tuscany in the spring with and 18% coverage of fluffy white clouds. Place a dog and a female in the foreground, the dog is a irish red setter and the female 25% lorraine pilkington and 75% helena christiansen?
