I’m surprised you have had no comments from any food photography experts.
I am not one of those but I love cooking and have many cookery books and magazines.
I have never eaten scallops but I might give them a try after viewing these.
I think #1 is the better image as it is a simpler composition.
I think maybe the extra items in the background in #2 might not be needed.
I think the colours of the food on the white plate really works.
I wondered what #1 would have looked like with an even simpler arrangement without
the fork and the greenery.
Just a thought.
Either way I think that #1 would not look out of place in many of the books or magazines
that I have spent my hard earned on over the years.
Hi Photosligo. These are nicely lit and the arrangement on the plate is good. I’d agree with John about the greenery and fork in #1 (just where they are positioned), as they tend to catch my eye. I prefer #2, but without the background clutter. I would take this shot with the corners of the plate going diagonally towards the corners of the frame and a slight re-arrangement of the props. I’m no food expert, so you can take my points with a pinch of salt. Well done
Thx for coments. I agree with above. Just a post some sample of it. I have more of it, with diferent composition and without accessories (fork glass etc)
