Scanner advise needed

I need help to decide on a scanner.
Options
1) Purchase scanner such as Canon LIDE600F – 200Euro (scan resolution 4800x9600dpi)
OR
2) Purchase multifunction printer, scanner and copier Lexmark X4875 200Euro (scan resolution 600x1200dpi)I will not prnt photographs myself, so only would require the printer for occasional use, the scanner would be used for scanning photographs and doing some touch up work in photoshop, I would not require large prints from these.
What resolution would be sufficient for this type of work.Which of the above options should I go for ?
Pretty well any modern scanner will scan a photo at very high resolution, you might have to tweak the colours a bit.

Hi I would def go with the Canon Scanner because I had a couple of Lexmark Combos and I found that the quality of the scans degrade over time,with mine it was something to do with the power, it would flicker during the scans and get worse over time, I got my first one replaced on warranty and gave away my second, I am new to photography but not to lexmark and canon is such a reliable make I dont think there is any comparision.
