    magnificent shot gary , lovely composition , great detail in the foreground rock….and as for the colours…..wow. how long an exposure was it ?

    Thanks guys.:) It was a 30 second exposure f20 at ISO50.

    Very nice shot Gary, as usual.
    may i ask, what camera you are using? tell me if i am wrong but i don’t think i can get down to iso 50 with the 5D mkii , i thought the minimum was iso 100? or am i missing something?

    Hi Phillipe

    You can add iso50 in the custom settings it is displayed as L and becomes available when you expand your iso range in the custom function menu.

    Hi Gary,

    I think this is a lovely photograph.
    The colours are really good and the long exposure has created a nice effect in the sky.

    I like the way the clouds look like they were lit from behind.

    aha everyday is a school day I didnt know that either about the iso 50 option thanks for that…. great shot.

    You’d want to give up the auld photography… your no use at at all ;)

    Gorgeous stuff, its just pops off the page. Lovely detail… were you using ND filters?
