Hi all,
Just an experiment, playing with depth of field. Saw the benches, walked past them, stopped and walked back. To me it all looked a bit sad. Mind you some of you might think that about the picture!
Views welcomed in any event.

Hi, sorry to be a pain, but could you resize this photo and repost, its quite hard to critique when its hard to view. i think generally 800px on the longest side is used.
From what i can see though the bench itself looks quite nice and sharp.You have used the DoF well here but the picture doesn’t tell any story – it has little purpose. It is also very central and the bottom of the bench is cut off. Some experimentation of different shooting angles and zooms may have given a more interesting shot.
I agree, depth of field is great, but composition is poor, maybe the bech behind this one would tell a better story as it is completely demolished
Yeah, I also think the second bench would be a better subject. Looking at this, I’m already trying to see past the near bench to see the other one. The black circle under it makes me think it may have been burnt?…
