so previous to my first post of the Mussenden temple ive pulled up an other shot this time with an object in the foreground! not too sure if it works or not but ill let you be the judge!
cheers!
BrickerParticipantIm viewing this in work (on lunch, listening to boring tele conference) and am consious that this monitor isnt the best.
The cliffs are very dark though, if this area is close to you going late in the evening/early in the morning would no doubt improve the shot overall.
IMO, I think the distance between the driftwood and the main subject is too far… its nearly a distraction to the main event (cliffs/temple). Scolling up and effectivley cropping it (and a good portion of sand) out actually looks better. But that just me, other no doubt will be in the pro drfitwood camp!
Watch the horizons, easy to fix in PS…. but really irretating when some “clown online” points it out!
Hope this is some help, dont mean to come across neagative.
quickclickMemberthanks bricker, for a long time when showcasing my work all ive heard was things like ‘ excellent and amzing, beautiful’ but thats comments from people like my folks and girlfriend and friends and they either dont want to offend or really just dont know how to judge….
Im glad you pointed out the negative areas this gives me a true insight on what to watch out for and to work on! if i want to make it in this industry of landscapes or any other type of photography im goin to have to be able to take the productive criticism and work on that to improve my photography!
i shot this with my 10-22mm canon lens and this shot was actually taken when i was walkin back to the car after finishing the session. it was the first day out with the lens and was really a trial run to see how i got on.
thanks again bricker!
quickclickMembero p.s im working from my laptop and i can never get a true reading on what the actual photograph looks like as when i print the image its always darker than what i see on my laptop! i reckon its time to get myself a proper desktop computer rather than a laptop! maybe im just lookin for an excuse, haha im not sure but i do find a difference in my work when viewing on laptop and on print! :s
