Excellent picture – I really like the composition of this one. Colour wise it works too and the processing is very well done. If I had to find something negative about it – perhaps the hand/arm are a fraction too blurred – but thats a personal preference I suppose. Where was it taken if you dont mind me asking ? Also I was wondering how come gerry morgan’s name is in the exif info for it ?
KPMParticipantCracking shot Gerry,
love the colours and the skin tones are spot on.
Composition etc. all great.Fashion / glamour is an area I have relatively little experience in, but I absolutely love this one.

AnonymousParticipantVery different Gerry, certainly works for me,love the soft look..nice to see a different perpective on fashion shots. You are posting some great images these days, are the creative juices flowing at the mo?
Ben 8)nolongerParticipantI like it. Great colours, interesting composition. I agree that the arm in the back is a bit overblurred for my tastes, but that’s a minor complaint really.
FlipflipParticipantI acutally quite like the blurring on the arm.
Absolutely amazing shot, well done.
ThorstenMemberI like this too – certainly not the type of image I would ever have thought of taking. I can’t help wondering if it was shot to meet a brief? And would it have worked as well with a different colour lingerie – perhaps white or even black? The only distraction for me is the bit of hair in the upper right corner.
I don’t see any blurring in this image – only a pleasing diffuse glow :) I don’t subscribe to the idea that everything has to have absolute clarity and biting contrast. It depends on the image. For years photographers have been using Softar filters and specialised soft focus lenses (or even just breathing on the lens) to obtain similar effects – if it was OK to do it that way for film, then it’s OK to do it in post-processing of digital images too!
freshphotoParticipantjust a couple of things, the blurring of the arm was very deliberate the emphases was always on the detail in the briefs, the hair in the corner was also deliberate, to make the person wonder, and want for more, ie we know shes blond but who is she, wanted the observer to wonder and come to their own conclusion, but to have a sexual twist to it, and thats where the red comes in the most dangerous colour to use as a background in photography, if it aint working u wont get away with it. Was shot in my studio, using three lights, one softbox one snoot which i hate using and a reflectot with a grid to open the shadows slightly and fall off quickly not to feed a shadow into the background. Obviously a red paper roll, but the red is a lil darker so i gelled it with a lil orange. thats it ! One thing i would change is i would have had the nails painted.

Remember when Vasoline was also a subsitute for a soft effect, only smeared over a clear cokin filter of course!
Ben :Dserenity101MemberterryMemberI really like this shot. I love the colours and the delicacy of the whole thing. If I saw it as an advert in a magazine I would be looking for the details. Excellent tasteful shot
