Hi – A reasonable composition and B&W suits. Nice fall off from the wide open aperture – but perhaps her cheek is over-exposed by a 1/2 stop?

Playing a lot lately with wide aperture on close up portraits, I like the result mostly. I see what you are talking about with the cheek, it was light from a window and was hard to balance with the shadow on her right side.

A reflector may have worked on the darker side and using a slighly faster shutter speed to control the brighter side .She’s a great model btw.

Lovely shot – I like the lock of hair to the left catches the light and separates the shadow side of her face from the darker background.

Lovely capture, very pretty little girl. A sheet of greaseproof paper on the
window still allows the light through but diffuses it a little, strange but true :)
