MarkKeymasterHey there,
I know of a couple of members here who have had considerable success selling via http://www.istockphoto.com
Worth checking them out. I think they’re now the worlds largest stock site after getty images bought them out.SALCONMemberhi Mark
Thanks will Check that out, i have just heard about stock photos but never really knew much about how it works and things . cheers
RogMemberThere’s a book by Lee Frost called “Taking Pictures For Profit”
Might be worth your while mabye trying for it in the local library etc.
In it he covers almost every type of potential profit making photography (stock photos, picture libraries, printing your own postcards, weddings, calandars etc etc).
It’s written in an easy to understand way, yet covers most of the bases, and has lots of ideas & some good images too.Hope this helps.

OscarParticipantAlthough this is an old post it really is worth while looking at istockphoto. It takes a while to build up a good selling portfolio but when you get to around 1000 files the money becomes pretty good as well as giving you a shot at contributing to getty.

Just keep in mind that not everything sells!
I am selling stuff on 8 stock sites and I have to agree that istock is one of the best.OscarParticipant8 sites, man thats a lot of work. With istockphoto its important to become exclusive to make it worth while. Too true that not every thing sells but that kind of keeps it interesting. Although the price of a picture is far greater on getty I find that there is a lot more money to be made on istock.
