    I nearly love it. A tighter crop perhaps as the forearm distracts a bit much from the perfect eye ;)

    Actually I’m sure if the arm adds anything :( (or is it the arm that’s actually casting the shadow?) It almost closes in around the face and gives a mildly claustrophic feel instead of allowing the face more space if you know what I mean.

    I like this and I wouldn’t tighten the crop at all. As it is, it’s easy to recognise what’s going on here. However, what I would have done is to shoot with a much longer lens, thereby compressing the perspective and making the arm less prominent. It’s the little hairs on the arm that I find most distracting and I think using a longer lens would have helped in making these less problematic. Alternatively you could change the lighting so as not to accentuate the hair, but that would make it a completely different image!
