Shallow water!
-
AliParticipant
A few similar type shots of puddles/shallow water. Not very inspiring but i was amazed at how well
the colours came out. The first was taken with a Canon 10D and the second two more or less
straight after one another with a Nikon D200. I definitely prefer the third portrait however i think if i was to adhere to
the rules of composition it should be presented landscape with the leaf on the right hand side.MarkKeymasterI prefer the third one also. I like the split in the water. Might have been improved with the leaf
further up and right, but then it would cause problems with the falling water.
Interesting photociaranParticipantI’m going to buck the trend and opt for the first one (not that we have to choose one over the others).
I think it’s a great capture… it just stinks of someone contemplating. Good composition, well spotted.
The others are OK, but don’t compare to that one in my opinion.
gerardkParticipantI like the first one too – I prefer the colours in the 2nd and the composition of the third. Just to be awkward. :)
AliParticipantThanks all, I prefer the third, almost like an impressionist painting. It’s funny, as i get better i seem to like the most recent pics the best, i’m not sure whether that’s just because i’m so used to seeing the older ones. :).
RobertoMemberI love the first as abstract photo, The composition and colours are perfect for me.
KeithJackParticipantAre they taking in Navan Ali? I seen somewhere like that on the road to Slane, I think
Noely FParticipantNumber 3 for me…..lots in it and nothing in it…..if that makes sense
AliParticipantThanks All, Keith the first of these was taken in Bundoran along the beach, the second and third were taken in Slane village just under one of the bridges.
Nothing really caught my eye except for the leaf that day – slightly bizarre :)ValentiaMemberI like the 1st and last for different reasons. As you said the first is a nice pastelly abstract. The last because of the contradiction of the fast moving water and a fragile leaf looking so solid and imovable in that environment.
