Thx for the feedback folks, glad to hear I am getting exposure right or nearly right now. Finding I set the camera to slightly into the + range of the exposure scale. I also read an article which expressed that photography of humans should be more about capturing verbs than nouns, struck a cord with me. So it certainly was nice to catch that second image.

There is a highlight in the background under Shanyn’s left cheek, try burning it a little to put it into the background more!1st one works for me. lovely tones and almost a little glow off the subject. very clear and sharep, but with a soft feel to suit the subject.
2nd one, processing feels a little much for me.
