This is a long shot but here it goes.
I’m looking for a Shutter Release for a Canon EOS 3000. this is a Film SLR and I was wondering if anyone here knew where to get I have tried all the usually avenues including ebay and email various internet stores. I am just about to email canon to see if they might have one in stock.
I don’t have the product code on me at the moment, but as soon as I find it I’ll post it up.
Thanks for your help in advance
EDIT: the code is RS-60 e3
randomwayMemberWould the release cable that you get for an eos 20-30d… dslr not work with yours? I am just guessing.
trishw78Memberno it’s analogue it’s a totally different connection the product code is above the canon store has one selling for £24.99. If I could get it cheaper it’d be nice.
rc53MemberYou can get an ‘adaptor’ for an ordinary cable release; it’s like an ajustable bracelet with a screw holder for the cable.
Wraps round the body, with the screw hole over the release. Bit crude, but it might work.ChristianpParticipantIsn’t that one just using a normal headphone jack? if you cut it off some old headphones and solder a switch to it, that might be the cheapest way to go…

steelydanParticipantThink this is what you are looking for Trish, might not be a canon but it should work. I have one myself and this one looks like it.

The connection pin does not look like a digital and the model number does not come close to any for digital.
trishw78MemberThanks Guys.
I’ve discovered it’s the same shutter release as the 300D.
