Lovely colours in this Lorraine… I too am a sucker for the vignetting but think maybe its a tad too
much on this one.Nice one

Sienna, or Burnt Sienna?
The vignette jars on such a long focal length, to me-
it is kinda unnatural looking, definitely applied-
I can’t think of a focal length / depth of field combination that would produce this result-
though I don’t know, obviously-Perhaps if the depth of field had been much, much shallower,
it might have been more credible…
And I’m not talking about applying blur as well…It’s telling that we’re all talking about the vignette-
In a way, I think a slightly shorter length might have been better,
if there was useable space around her-
the interesting thing, to me, is the street, and perhaps she’s a little too dominant in it-Lovely colour, and I like her positioning against the background-

Comments and feedback appreicated – no surprises in your responses – I played with the Vignette and realise its not for everyone – I would probably work that a bit more gently – particularly on the top of the image – but the mood I was in I felt like going nuts in it ;)
Richie – It was the colours for me aswell … and then I stalked the little granny as she toddled off with her shopping :)
Steve – I haven’t printed this one yet – you judged it as a projected image for the club a month or so back .. it won !!
JB – I probably have wider ones of her as she walked into the scene .. but the wall changed , and the next building was a lan internet shop with soigns and messiness in the way – but i think i see your point !Thanksa million all
