Sigerson Cup: DCU vs DIT

For the second year running DCU failed to get past the second round, oh well maybe next year. Anyhoo here be some shots, my lovely girlfriend Sinead lended me here shiny Canon 75-300mm for this one, so much sharper than my Sigma.

You have some excellent images there that would grace the cover of any sports page and not look out of place.. What aperture was the lens? Did you submit them to DCU paper or anything?
Sancho some nice shots there I like the one of the breaking ball, some sponsorship from a gumshield maker.
I think you might have got more comments if you had split them into a couple of postings.
Come on UUJ the big Northern hope. It is getting like a small county compettition with the quality in some of the teams.Soda
Cheers for the lovely comments guys, sorry i’m only replying now, stoopid busyness! Yeah I didn’t realise how many of the county players I was actually photographing. Thought it was just students, which they are but also County players. My lovely girlfriend let me borrow her Canon 75-300. Tis still an amateur lens but it’s streets ahead of my Sigma as far as image quality goes. They put two in the College paper, the despair one and the last one where the DCU player is surrounded by DIT lads. I’ve had to step down from the paper to focus on my thesis but hopefully the placement with Inpho will get me some nice shots I can put in a portfolio.
