Sigma 120-400mm F4.5-5.6 DG OS HSM Lens

Hi everyone,

Looking for some advice between two lenses namely the Canon EF 100-400mm F4.5-5.6 L USM IS or the Sigma 120-400mm F4.5-5.6 DG OS HSM. I use a Canon 7D and IQ is the priority, i will mainly be using one of these longer zooms for wildlife photography and shooting both handheld and mounted on a tripod. I know that the Canon is nearly twice the price of the Sigma but taking everything into consideration which one is the best for IQ and using handheld.

Any advice and thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
