Has anybody got any views on this lens or can anyone recommend another lens that.
shinyMemberThe DC OS version of this lens is mean to be better.
Have a look here

I am looking for a lens with either the Image Stabiliser or the Sigma Optical Stabiliser. I was also looking at the Canon EF 70-300 f4-5.6 IS USM Lens
Any more views ?
Cheers
MartyshinyMemberThere is also one of each for sale on Adverts. (although non OS version of the sigma)
BallymanParticipantI have the Sigma 18-135mm OS lens. It’s a MASSIVE step up from the kit lens that I had. Excellent walkaround lens.
MDCPhotographyParticipantI was actually thinking of this one
Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS, I need something that I can use for a bit of everything, sports, portraiture.
You see over the last few months I have been on about camera blur on my images etc and I have been putting it off and off but I honestly think that the shake is down to me personally. I have noticed that I cannot actually hold the camera absolutley still, not saying I am throwing it about the place but there is a slight hand shake.
Cheers

Had one of these about 2-3 years ago, They got a great review at the time in the various mags of 2006.
Its small and compact for the focal length it covers and great for travelling with.
I really dont know whats on the market now, without sounding pompous or anything
I would only consider going for an L series lens myself now! but the above lens was a good lens.Did you check out some of the review sites on the net? dp review?
proachMemberHi, not sure if you are still looking for this one.
I have one (it’s for sale now), used it for about 5 months and was very happy with it.
The range of this lens is quite unique, and the 18mm side is especially very handy and sharp!Don’t expect miracles, as it is a budget lens, and the 200mm sometimes comes out a bit unsharp, but this can be fixed by using a tripod and higher f numbers. Overall it’s quite a good starters lense, only reason Im getting rid of it, is because I want to chance to a ultra wide angle and a dedicated zoom lens.
