Just got a 300 2.8 so no longer need this.
It is the desirable 77mm APO Tele-Macro version (not HSM but optically identical) not the old 72mm version, this is much nicer :)
Works fine f5.6 on 40D will give an err01 if you try to alter aperture, common problem with older sigmas (works perfectly at all apertures on EOS 500n). But i can honestly say ive been very impressed with its performance 5.6, sharp, good colours and contrast and in very high contrast situations there isnt a hint of CA anywhere to be seen! Af is very accurate also. Nearest competitors cost 3x as much used!
Will only work on modern digital f5.6! Should be fully compatible with the film bodies and early d30,d60 and 1d + maybe the odd 10d digital bodies.
Comes with built in extendible hood, Tripod collar, f+r caps, Original hard case, box and possibly instructions.
