Sigma 70-200 (SOLD) 1.4x & 2x teleconverters (SOLD)

DarrenGParticipant
I’m selling my Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 HSM lens (non macro version) with Sigma 1.4x & 2x teleconverters. They are all in excellent condition. Comes with padded case (and maybe original packaging if I can find it). This is for a Nikon mount. With the 1.4x you will have a 98-280 f/4 lens and with the 2x you will have a 140-400 f/5.6 lens.
Looking for ?500. This setup new from eBay would cost over ?1000.
I will post up some photos of it tonight.
(The reason for the sale is I have replaced it with a new Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 VR)
RGH_PhotographyMemberDarrenGParticipantoptimusParticipantben4130ParticipantIf the deal doesnt go through with the 2X id take it, does it autofocus with the nikon 70-200 vr, and does the vr still work do you know?
DarrenGParticipantoptimus – pm sent.
ben4130 – tried it with my 70-200 VR on a D200 & D300. It hunts on both of them. Autofocus would not lock.
ben4130ParticipantDarrenGParticipantDarrenGParticipantTried the 1.4x and there is still a small bit of hunting but not nearly as bad as the 2x.
ben4130ParticipantHmmm, i may hang off for now and think about it.
Thanks for the help though.ExpresbroParticipantDarren..I think I asked you this before..but would that 1.4 converter work with my Sigma 70-300 on the D80? I’m pretty sure you said it wouldn’t …but if it will I’d be interested in taking this?
Cheers
Robbie
DarrenGParticipantRobbie, it’s not listed as being compatible on the Sigma website but you’re welcome to try it out if you want.
pete4130MemberIf the TC’s aren’t taken I might take one. Not sure which one I’d have more use for on the Sigma 70-200 2.8. If you bring them on Sat I could have a look? I think I’d take the 2x first though.
DarrenGParticipantYes no problem. I will be late heading in on Saturday so will give you a shout when I’m there.
