sigma 70-300 dg apo verses sigma 70-300 dg

guys can anyone out there tell me what is the difference between the sigma 70-300 dg and the sigma 70-300 dg apo and even though its only 30 euro in the sale price (at least thats what it is in limerick) is it a massive difference in performance….
The “APO” version has coated optics to reduce flaring etc. I think :roll:
All I know is i had the Nikon 70-300g lens and ditched it in favour of the Sigma…..the quality is a lot better.I was told there is considerable difference in performance, and that the new APO version also has a Macro mode as well. I bought the APO version last week and happy with it, so far! After all, its only 30 euros more anyway! (Its 199.99 here in Dublin, I bought it on ebay for approx 160).
