Matt HarperParticipant
Hey all,
First of all, sorry for the lack of activitiity of here from me as of late. Been very busy with work and also been away!
Spent this week on the stunning isle of Skye. Here are some of the images:
Still got my Film photos to get developed (Holga and Mamiya 645).
Thanks for looking,
Matt.
PeteTheBlokeMemberSome gorgeous photos there Matt. I love the three in the middle with hills and grass and stuff.
Your sea seems to slope in a few shots. I’ve heard that magnetic compasses can be unreliable on Skye – maybe there’s a gravitational warp that causes the sea to do strange things too.
Matt HarperParticipantTheres a good excuse! Gravitational warp, we’ll go with that one. lol.
More then likey, although i do try to check (most of the time!). (I surpect its the lack of moveability on my Jessops tripod which doesn’t aid much either! )
Cheers,
Matt.
seanmcfotoMemberPhilRyanMemberJaysus, thats beautiful. Amazing shots. Makes me want to visit there… alot!
Leftist RhetoricParticipantGreat stuff… looking forward to seeing your Mamiya 645 stuff… I use one too.
SANCHOMemberGod what a hideous place! Who’d want to live there? 8) seriously though wow!! beautiful shots, i’ll fetch my row boat and head there right now! breathtaking scenery by the looks of it.
Brian_CParticipantWow. Some lovely work there. Looks like a place to put on the list of places to visit. Looks really nice.
Becareful of you horizons in the first one, looks a little lob-sided, or it’s the after effects of last nite, I’d also lose a little bit of forground it the first one too.Great stuff.

Lovely stuff there. Particularly like number five.
Rob.
SteveDParticipantMatt, looks like the trip is going well! The 8 week countdown on msn wasn’t in vein  My favourite from the bunch has to be the Old Man!
MartinParticipantVery nice set of images of a place I like very well. Very hard to get good light there you have to be very patient. The first four would be my favorite if I had to choose one it would be the Old Man of Stor. It?s been photographed thousands of times but I don?t think I have seen it with the foreground rock you have used

You haven’t read Joe Cornish, ‘A landscape photographer’s Art’ then! Page 14 has an almost identical image of the Old Man of Storr, so Matt can take store from the fact that he is as good as Joe Cornish at finding an interesting viewpoint.
Excellent work all round Matt.

MarkKeymasterSuper selection of images, even if some are crooked ;)
Look forward to your next post already…
Madra RuaParticipantGreat shots Matt. Never mind the horizons.
The atmosphere in those images is class.
