Hope this is the right area to post this! Didn’t get to the main viewing area for the Skyfest last night, ended up shooting from a field by the side of the road with a herd of sheep for company! Didn’t get even a single shot of the firework worth keeping though!

    Regards,
    Ashok.

    Yep~~

    That second is very attractive!

    Well done.

I’d be pleased if it were mine..but Joseph’s tip is good.

Yep, I will agree with the lads. The second shot is really cool. If that is the right word, looks like a great night was had.

Thanks a million Sharon, Dave and jb7!

jb7, I couldn’t understand how it looked too warm last night (on the laptop) and now at a different monitor, I can see why one would say that, I’ll try tweaking the image. In fact the sky there was slightly warm looking as there was a lot of mist and a lot of amber floodlights. Thanks again!

Is this an annual event? Is it an opportunity for a mass PI meet next time?

I ask, becasue I want to go to the next one. Mrs. Thermos and Mr. Hipflask are very keen for a night out.

Thanks Jim and AppleTrees! Jim, I was hoping to shoot the fireworks, but I could not get the settings and technique right. And the fact that I ended up on a side of the rock rather than front didn’t help either! Ah well, there’s always a next time! :)

Brian, the firework was part of the Paddy’s Day festivities. Firework usually takes place here in Dublin, but they decided to move it to the country this year. Not sure where it would be next year, but I think its an excellent idea!
