I know this might not be to everyones taste but thought id post it anyways. have been trying to put a panel of fine art landscapes together over the last 18 months, so heres one i took last summer.
Thanks for looking.
bigalguitarpickerParticipantRASMITH32MemberDoesnt realy work for me Sirvad although I like the idea. I think I have commented on one of these images before. My problem with the image is that the subject is just too clouded by the textured layer(s) on top . Id say reduce the opacity on this / these and bring the tree in more whilst retaining that fine art look and finish you are trying to achieve
shutterbugParticipantI do like the idea, but think I agree with Ras that the texture takes away
from it a little, especially the long streaks at the top of the image, I love
the soft colours and the overall look, just tone it down a little.5faytheParticipantHi Sirvad,
I too like the idea here and the colours are really nice.
I am imagining this image without any of those “streaks”,as Jenny calls them, or the birds.
I think that would be a simpler and more attractive image.
But that’s only an opinion.Nice work all the same.
John.
sirvadMemberBarry@reflectionsParticipantI absolutely love this. I have seen a few images done like this recently and I think its is fantastic. I havent tried it myself yet and have no clue where to start with the post processing. Im guessing textured layers and clever use of the opacity slider? Whatever your secret is I just love the image. Well Done :-)
aoluainParticipantwell it does do one thing . . .
it keeps the viewer looking just that bit longer, which i think is a good thing!
it is possibly a little overdone and is more about the processing as it is about the photography…
but good idea – well worth tweaking and a nice project.
