Wow…. thanks guys….! Feck…. I think I am blushing… ….. I am not sure about cloning out the handle or key… I kinda think it adds a bit of mystery to the shot… will certainly have a look at it tough… flowers in the attic type of feel or something….! No I dont lock her in the room ever… In fact thats my bedroom… You should see some of the outakes…. there where 2 shots of me for every one of her…! :D
Thanks again
Richie
ValentiaMembermgstParticipantDerekLavertyParticipantHi Richie, I think you have a great image here. I don’t think I would remove the door handle nor the lock. I feel if these items were removed it would be hard to get a bearing on the image. The handle and the lock tell me the child has just pass through the door and is pausing in the bright light to adjust their eye’s. The black and white makes a dramatic image, the soft focus also helps with the theme , I feel. I have images off my own children taken in a variety of places. I have put some up for critique and had a mixed response. To me , I like the critique , good or bad but it would not stop me from printing an image nor displaying it in my home. If you like it print it and hang it. Sit back and enjoy it. Well done on this one I think you have produced something that commands people to stop, take a second look and think about the entire image………..
My two cents worths anyway for what it worth……………..

absolonParticipantTerrifying… it’s the front cover of a new thriller movie. I wouldn’t like it in my bedroom, but good for scaring the neighbours if you put it into the window. VERY nice picture, Hollywood style.
BethscottParticipantwow – its eerie but with the bright light from the door it gives it a ‘stairway to heaven’ feel, if anyone gets what I am saying?!?!?! Really cool though. Brilliant image
freshphotoParticipanti *********** love this shot, great capture really good spot. This i would print !
neilmcshaneParticipantThe reason to remove the handle and knob is to remove the idea it is a door and to make people think could is the child walking into. I think it would add a little extra. Only my thoughts. Do what you think is best.
