Hiya,
I am only new here but Im interested in photography since a year I think…
I took some photos at the Slieve Leagues in Co. Donegal. I hope you like them.derrycityParticipanthello and welcome 3 nice shots try and re-size to 800×600 they are just a tad to small to make a comment
philJanine87ParticipantaoluainParticipantHi Janine,
Welcome to PI.
The cliffs seem to be an interesting spot for photography.
#1 I thnk is suffering from camera shake.
#’s 2 & 3 are suffering from a lack of ‘depth of field’ because f2.8 was used
and you focused on the curf to the right throwing more or less
everything else out of focus particularly the left of frame.if you had chosen f8 the images would have been sharper.
I think it would be worth visiting this location again to retake the pics if possible.
Good try though and good eye to see these.

If want to know more about apertures (f8 etc), there is a book that will explain it all called Understanding Exposure,by Bryan Peterson.
You should be able to get a copy on Amazon.com for around 12-15 euros. It’s well worth a read if you want to know more about how to get
the most out of your camera.
It’s very easy to read.
Keep posting those shots.Janine87Participanthey flynny!
thanks for telling me that! If it is just exposure i think i dont need to buy a book because i have one for adobe photoshop cs4.BallymanParticipantJanine87ParticipantBallyman wrote:

Hi Janine. Get the focus book. Taking the photos properly comes first. Editing in Photoshop comes later!
aoluainParticipantaoluainParticipantHI Janine,
I would recommend getting the book too.
I have it and it is very simple to understand and follow and is a good
source for camera enlightenment !Your second set of pictures are suffering from the same symptoms.
In the picture below the foreground is nice and sharp and we are able to
make out the stones on the walkway from the left, but as we move further
into the frame and to the horizon the image gets progressively more
blurred.Nice images again though.

Janine87ParticipantThanks for your help guys!
I am just about to order the book! :)
One problem is I have no idea what they mean with “issue number” or “start date”. Ive got a Laser Card of Permanent TSB. Anyone who can help me maybe?aoluainParticipantGood stuff, you wont be dissapointed.
You will ahve to read it at least twice to absorb it all.
Dont know about the card though, give open24 a call.
