    The very small (about the size of a one cent coin) Small Blue Butterfly. The Buuren last summer. C & C Welcome. Canon 20D Sigma 150mm Marco.

    fantastic shot….. the detail is incredible. It could be in the Macro section. Can’t find anything to improve on it… except maybe the poor butterflies wing is damaged but sure what can you do about that… (a bit of photoshopping perhaps…)

    Very nice, pity about the wing, have you considered repairing it with the clone tool. Nicely exposed and good DOF.

    Fantastic shot. Definitely should be in the macro section. I’d leave the damaged wing as is, after all, that’s what you saw.

    Cheers for the feedback all. The reason this specimen has a chipped wing is that as I observed it before I got a shot it spend alot of it’s time fighting with anything that flew into it’s territory. Therefore I would leave the chipped wing in as it adds to it’s character. Slan
