Snow at Carrauntuohill

  • This image is taken after sunset, I was waiting for the night because the snow starts to lighten up.

Very nice Madeleine, almost looks like a landscape from Scotland with the snow on the hills.

Your very lucky being based in Kerry a great part of the country for landscapes

    Hi Madelaine

Another stunning image form you. When you say after sunset, how long was the shutter open to capture the available light so vividly. It is a beautiful image.

Martin what would i do without you :) thanks to you and everybody. Yes Kerry is a big box of jewels.

I used this setup: f22 / 30s / 28-105mm and adjusted more yellow with the whitebalance to get ride of the massiv cold light after sunset. In some cases it works, in this case i found that more attractiv. For me it was important that the clouds start to flow to make the image softer.

Great photo, like the colours. Kerry is good for landscapes indeed and its worth to wait for the right moment .
