Love the scene, probally would only work in B&W, a little bit too bright for me but there is plenty going on in the scene to forget about the brightness.

Great olde worlde feel to the conversion. The roof at the bottom distracts a little, but not much you could do about it.

    Hi kristina,

    I like this image.
It’s a nice view and includes loads of things to see.
    Lots of detail in it.
Must be even more interesting for someone that knows the scene.

I normally dislike borders/frames when members include them on the
images they post but I like this one.

    Well done.

    John.

    Hi Kristina,

I can only echo what the others have said, its a nice shot , but for me its the converision that makes the photo and gives it that old feel & tone.

Where is it taken from, at fist i was thinking the absolute hotel but i think that would be further to toward the city?

thanks guys for all your comments :) I’m glad you like the photo. Is is too bright though ? I was trying to get it just right, but it is so hard to see on my laptop screen.
I agree that the roof on the bottom of the image is a bit distracting so I cropped it some more.

and here is the original colourful version

and yes, it was taken from the absolute hotel. Good observation Niall :)

It works well in B&W and don’t think it’s too bright – it has the feel of a print from a plate that has bleached a bit over the years.

    The crop is an improvement.
