What a great set-
the caravan, the posting box, and Please Do Not Bark stand out for me,
but all of them add to the flavour of the day-And to think you had a hundred views before you posted a single picture…
There’s a man who knows how to play the crowd-Worth waiting for-
AlessiaParticipantyup…. I agree, well worth waiting for these pictures…. It’s a great seat. No 2 is my preferred one: love the depth of field and the colors; I like very much the sky and the shadows of the no.6 and the B&W of the no.7
Anyway, they are all very very nice!
jessthespringerParticipantThese are fab Gigi, I forgive you all, you took your time, but it was worth it!
Love all the bikes, and the van door, and do not bark, and the last one.nfl – you now have the title of miserable slug!

Sinead, I’m afraid I will have to take on the mantle of Official PI Miserable Slug
for the next few weeks or so.
I actually have my negs processed but am currently without a scanner
as the Umax which JB7 passed my way has sadly gone to meet its maker….sigh  .
So, I guess until I obtain a new scanner I will have to be known
as PI’s miserable slug, no matter how much nfl-fan deserves the title.
On the good news front though, Lo-Fi day really brought back my interest in photography
(thank you Sinead) and I have been shooting and processing like mad ever since on a few new projects,
so watch the low-fi space when I do get a scanner up and running!
Regards,
Seoirse…. the miserable slug.SeoirseMemberGigi,
Just to say well done on such a strong set of pics!
A great set indeed and I just love the softness
in the highlights in pic 2 especially.
:D
RobMemberFantastic set of pictures, and well worth the wait. Number two
in particular is a real stunner…aoluainParticipant2 & 10 for me,
very good set indeed.
the two i picked have something special, very 3D ish.
MartinParticipantCan see them now. Some very nice shots there well done. The dublin bikes shot is really cool
There has been some super quality lofi pics posted by all who attended the day

nooo-
what happened?
It was fine when it left here…
(well, apart from maybe one stuckish pixel…)You’re trays are still working fine,
though they don’t get nearly as much use as they should at the moment…SeoirseMemberNo don’t worry JB, the scanner was working fine
when you passed it over to me
but last week when I was attempting to scan up my lo-fi negs
all of a sudden my Mac wouldn’t recognise the scanner
and I got a slight smell of burning.
Called my mate (an electrical engineer) and he tried it on
his Mac. No joy either. Opened up the back and the chip that
was linked to the firewire ports had completely burnt out.
Called UK, called Germany but neither could help as the part
is now unavailable/uneconomic to fix.
Terrible pity because it was a great scanner.
Still, I’ll have to wait and see if Sheldon can get me a new Epson.
Anyway, that’s the story.
Still it could be worse. Could be living in Iraq or somewhere.
So, I’m now the new miserable slug. :D
jb7Participantwow, electrical engineers use macs these days-
my, how times have changed…Still, I’m glad you smelled the burning when you did-
otherwise, I might have had to move to Iraq…thedarkroomParticipantGizzoParticipantthank you all!
Dave, George (and hopeless Expresbro): looking forward to see your pictures!!!!
