    Hi
Where could I get sodium thiosulphate(hypo) in powder form from?
I need it for ilfochrome printing as the substitue developer (warmtone) will not remove the excess of yellow dyes in the paper without it.
I have asked Gunns to get it but it’s been problematic.
    Thanks

silverprint.co.uk sell it as well as most other photo chemicals in powder form

Just go to the site and search for “thiosulphate”, just checked and its there. Only problem is silverprint has a min order of 100gbp…

100gms of this stuff normally comes with packs of Farmers Reducer. Gunns normally has some, ring ahead, its around 8euro for a pack, a bit expensive just to get 100gms of the stuff….

I have 4 spare 25gms bag here I can post you for nothing, not much of it but if you want it pm me your address and i’ll post it to you….

    Hi,
thank you for all of the assitance.
Was back in Gunns yesterday and Louise gave me some hypo from her darkroom that will be enough for another session
She also gave me a box of 20×24″ ilfochrome paper worth about €300 for free that she had lying around her darkroom after showing her my first ilfochrome print.
It is fantastic that we have a shop like Gunns where they are interested, knowledgable and so helpful about photography
Martin I’ll send you a pm with my address

    thank you
    Darragh
