SOLD: Canon 28-70 f/2.8 L USM

Hi folks, it’s been a long while since I posted on here, but I figure some of you might be interested in this lens. There aren’t too many used copies up for sale. I’m selling because I rarely use it, shooting more often with primes in this focal range. I’ve had this lens for a year and bought it used from fixationuk.com to fill in the wide-normal focal range on my 5D II.
It’s aeally sought after wide-normal zoom lens with a constant wide aperture. There are very few good examples still around and even fewer for sale. This was THE Canon zoom lens before the 24-70 was introduced in 2002.
This lens is obviously not brand new but it’s in excellent condition for its age and shows very light signs of use—it definitely doesn’t appear to have had professional use.
There is some scuffing on the lens hood mount and the filter ring. Only paint, no dings. The lens hood mount is metal, unlike the plastic mount on the 24-70.
Other than that, there’s not much to notice other than the black surfaces being a bit shiny in places.Comes with genuine Canon lens caps and lens hood.
The date code is UH1201 which means it was made in Canon’s factory in Utsunomiya, Japan in December, 1993.
