Hi folks, I’m selling my canon 70-200. It’s the f/2.8 version so it lets in tons of light, has image stabilisation and (most importantly) creates that legendary background blur. You’ll already know that this lens is a core lens in the kit bag of every professional photographer.
I purchased it used from http://www.mpbphotographic.co.uk” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false; 2 years ago. I think it had been used by a pro before me so there are a few cosmetic marks to the tripod ring and the lens hood mount. These things are built like tanks and it works perfectly. Focus is fast and accurate and the IS works a treat.
The only point to note is that it has a tiny amount of fungus on one of the internal elements. This doesn’t affect image quality or sharpness in any way, except that it is very occasionally slightly more prone to flare (some people actually try to recreate this effect so it’s not necessarily a bad thing). When I bought the lens I had it checked out by http://www.fixationuk.com” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false; to see if it was worth replacing the affected element but their opinion was that the performance difference was so negligible that it wasn’t worth doing. I’ve used the lens professionally over the past couple of years and it hasn’t skipped a beat, nor has any client ever complained that my photos are too hazy!
It comes with a genuine Canon lens hood, both lens caps, and a Hoya Pro1 digital UV filter which has always been on the lens.
Lens is in Dublin.
