This makes for a great starter kit if you’re thinking about trying Infra-Red photography on medium-format. The Holga has interior flocking which helps cut down on the chance of the ultra-sensitive IR film getting flared. It also has an extra tripod mount on the base of the camera so you don’t have to take the camera off the tripod if you’re switching from Bulb to 1/125 (one of the problems with standard Holgas). I bought this kit just over a year ago and have only shot a few rolls with it. There’s some light wear due to taping of camera’s seams with black electrical tape (to minimise light leaks also.) The film-stock has been in my fridge since I bought it. I’m including the 59-49mm step-down ring in case you might like to use the red Hoya filter with a zoom lens on your 35mm camera (part of my original plan). Also: it’s possible to shoot 35mm with a Holga, exposing sprockets and all.
I’m selling all this because I can’t see myself using it inside the next year or so and I need money to buy more Portra 160! Do PM me if you’re interested or if there’s anything else you’d like to know.
M62ParticipantI’ll take €60 for this. Pretty good value considering the Hoya filter alone was €40, and has never been out of it’s box. .
bremoranParticipantHi Martin,
I’ll offer €60 you for this kit, and can meet in Dublin if that’s where you’re based!
Thanks,
BrendanM62ParticipantHi Brendan,
I’ll take that offer. I’m in Donegal, but I’m happy to cover postage, and can get it to you by Friday.
How does that sound?Martin
