I like this. Light and colours really appeal to me and I like the mood. My only crit would be that she (looks like a she) is standing on one leg.

I’m afraid I can’t get into this one at all Drew.
Compositionally perfect, stunning colours, etc., etc., etc…
But unfortunately it looks like an unreal composite of a couple of
different pictures. The sky looks entirely false, and the reflection of
the leg across moving water and wet sand just doesn’t ring
true for me. You may come back and tell me this is how it came out
of the camera, in which case I’ll hang my head and apologise, but
as it stands, I just don’t get it. Hope you don’t mind my honesty.

    Rob.

Thanks for your comments Rob. Right and wrong. The sky actually is as shot – it was a beautiful evening last August, winter in Oz. The land has had midtones lightened and dodged. The figure actually is from another shot, set into this to give a point of focus. I fully accept your very perceptive criticism and ‘tip my hat’ to you. You’ll notice that I’ve done a quick edit!
    Thanks again. It helps.

The texture and colours of the water and sand are fantastic.
Realy like that part with the girl.
Maybe, I would crop out the hill and keep only the water, sand and the girl.

Love all of it except the figure. As a landscape this is stunning, and doesn’t need the extra interest of a figure (in my opinion)

If the figure was closer to the camera, and looked more realistic (i.e. matching shadows & lighting etc) then I’d maybe change my mind, but for now I just see a stunning lanscape with a one legged woman in the way :D
