    Hi,
Below are some pics taken in Kilbroney Park with D5000 with 55-200 mm lens. I sometimes used +8 close up attachment.
These pics are my first attempt.
    Some are blurred.
    I appreciate all comments.
    Enjoy

Hi lunkwell :) welcome to the site!

You seem to have posted three copies of every shot, some before editing I think?
Macro is a great subject to get into and I found it quite challenging. A couple of
things I found useful is to use some kind of stabilising unit for the camera a monopod,
tripod or bean bag as even the slightest movement of the camera will result in blurred
photos. A calm windless day is ideal especially for flowers, when shooting insects get
up early and catch them before the sun has warmed them up, they are slower and will
stay still for longer. Also turn off the date imprinting on the camera, it really spoils a
    shot.

Hope you enjoy the site and look forward to seeing more from you. :)
