Some Cork Graffiti

  • I’ll expect kenh along in a minute to guess where this is :)

Bit of a juxtaposition there too, that theme seems to have been on my mind this month for some reason…

In my opinion graffiti is usually colourfull and vibrant and taking away the colours kind of kills the photo,I would of upped the contrast to bring the colours out,but we’re all different

Yeah I know that would have been a more conventional approach to graffiti. What I strive for with graffiti is not just just take a photo of someone elses art but to create my own image with thier art in it.

For this I found the colour distracted from what I was trying to achieve, the juxtaposition between the large/small, near/far, light/dark versions of the same design. Well that was the idea anyway :)

    Thanks for the comment

    I like it.

If it had been a graffiti image/artwork I’d say leave in the colour but as it apprears to be an “artists” tag I think it works better as black and white.

The fact that you have two identical tags within the photo works well.

the only thing i would change is i would increase the contrast.

Excellent. I like the way the graffiti is repeated on the wall behind.
