Some fireworks that were part of the Riverfest 2009 festival at the weekend. Hadn’t taken fireworks photos before so interested in some C&C.

The first one is very nice Phil, I think the castle in the background really makes the shot.

Phil,

What were the settings you used to get these photos? I was also at Riverfest, but in Arthurs Quay park. All my photos have a black sky rather than your dark blue sky and I’m wondering if it’s the angle and extra light you got from being across the river or different settings.

As mentioned on your post:

Number 1 is shot at f1013 secs, iso 400.
Number 2 is shot at f6.36 secs, iso 400.
